The Mighty Boosh is a quirky but seriously entertaining british show following Vince Noir and Howard Moon on their crazy adventures. There are many stupid laughs to be had and loads of pop references, including many from the music scene past and present. It's possible with a bit of looking to find episodes from the first two seasons on Youtube, and on other tv-links sites there are full seasons 1 - 3. A decent blog containing a lot of episodes is stronger-than-a-moose.
Here are some other shows to watch if you enjoy The Mighty Boosh:
Flight of the Conchords - New Zealand's self-proclaimed "fourth most popular folk parody comedy duo." The show follows the two band members Bret and Jermaine as they attempt to seek fame in New York. The supporting cast is great and includes comedians such as Rhys Darby, Arj Barker, and Demetri Martin. You can find snippets of their live performances on Youtube but the weekly episodes are much more entertaining. They air each week at 10:50 pm on Channel 10.
The IT Crowd - Starring the brilliant Richard Ayoade, the IT crowd is about two hopeless weirdos in a British firm. Ayoade's character Maurice Moss is always hilarious, he definitely makes the show. The cast includes Noel Fielding and Matt Berry. So far there are two seasons that play on ABC2 regularly, also watchable on Youtube here.
Nathan Barley - Very underrated, six episodes aired in the UK in 2005. A satirical parody/condemnation of modern society, some very awkward moments but some great one liners. A lot of the street lingo is classic: "keep it foolish/dusty/livid", "wise fucking opinions, dude", "that is well plastic!" etc. The cast includes a host of talent familiar to Boosh fans including Julian Barratt (Howard), Richard Ayoade (Saboo), and Noel Fielding (Vince). All the episodes can be found on Youtube starting here.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - Directed by Richard Ayoade and Matthew Holness, this "hospital drama" is a spoof of crappy 80s medical sitcoms. This one is less readily accessible than the previous shows but after watching a few episodes the characters grow on you, and there are some truly memorable moments. Cast includes Richard Ayoade, guest appearances from Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding, and Matt Berry (who plays Dixon Bainbridge in Boosh.) All episodes available on Youtube starting here.
