Cathédrale

Das Glow is one of the more recent additions to the Institubes Label, with his first release on the label appearing in 2006. He recently released his 12" EP entitled "Weiss Gaz"; compiled of three tracks. Although not the title-track, Cathédrale is a flowing and calming, yet still violently throbbing track; it takes the better half of the track to reach its climax but it is well worth the wait and you can feel the ambiance on any type of sound system. The remaining two tracks - Vulcanice & Weiss Gaz - are not in the exact style as Cathédrale which creates a perfect mix, they are much more jittery and nerve-racking. Das Glow manages to take the mundane distortion and the all-consuming 130bpm out of the current state of french electronic music and transform it into an echoing and pulsating sound.

He has remixed fellow institubes playmaker M.S.K, along with The Micronauts and Shadow Dancer. In the recent Institubes Respect Terror Club party, he played a new track of his own that is even more jazzier than the whole Weiss Gaz EP, but sounds even more at home in a party like that was.

Unfortunately, Das Glow has already been and gone for Melbourne inhabitants, but be ready for more of the Institubes crew around late summer!
